In Indonesian culture, a joglo is a place where the family comes together. The saying goes that the bigger the joglo, the higher the social standing of the family. Made’s Warung Berawa (know before as The Joglo) in Kuta Utara, once belonged to a Javanese Mayor and was dismantled and brought to Bali from Central Java, is a delightful and spacious spot for friends and family to gather, with plenty on offer to ensure all are relaxed or entertained. From a fun playground to food to daycare – there is a lot happening here for families!
While you enjoy your morning coffee, the kids will be kept entertained with cooking and book reading classes, craft workshops and more, each run on various mornings, while the kids corner or playground are always available to keep the little ones happy. There are activities for children at Sunday Brunch too, while Friday nights are when family-friendly films are screened under the stars.
Kids aged 10 and under will have the most fun but it’s suitable for guests of all ages.
Have a little birthday coming up? The Joglo is great venue to host a party with a range of packages on offer that include food, drinks and free play in the fun-packed playground. Clowns, magicians, balloon artists and decorations can all be organised, too.
