Gado gado, nasi campur, and a chilled Bintang, or a juice for the lil ones! For a bite into a fun local atmosphere (although locals find it more of a touristy place!), Made’s (pronounced Mah-deh’s) Warung is a definite ‘must go’.
Established in 1969, this roadside warung is a social eating and meeting venue for locals, expats and tourists alike. In addition to authentic regional fare, its menu also boasts a good mix ofinternational and Asian cuisines, with pastas and Thai curries rubbing shoulders.
The décor has a rustic, old charm feel to it with its wooden benches and log tables, thatched roofed, and walls packed with photographs — historic pictures, food snaps, ancient Balinese cultural memoirs and more.
It’s a non-fussed and relaxed place, with mouthwatering food!
Kids and their mommas, who love good food!
Most hotels around the area (either Kuta or Seminyak) highly recommends this place—so it’s advisable to reserve a table on advance, especially if you are a large group or if it’s the weekend.
