The International Riding Centre is one of the largest and most respected private horse riding centers in Hong Kong. They offer an area of over 160,000 sq. ft., which includes 5 large irrigated sand paddocks offering suitable riding environments for riders of all levels, both adults and children. They offer both private and group lessons.

Located near Sheung Shui in the New Territories, Lo Wu Saddle Club offers a grass turnout field, training paddock, and competition-sized floodlit sand paddock! Their group lessons are all tailored around the ability of the participants; there will always be a group suitable to your age and skill level. Their group lessons are 45 minutes long and are usually limited to a maximum of six riders. Private lessons of 30 or 45 minutes duration with a single instructor allow a session to be tailored to a person’s specific level or requirements, and they also offer semi-private lessons involving two riders and one instructor. The Tai Tong Riding Club (TTRC) was founded in 1994 within Tai Tong Organic EcoPark and is the largest private horse stable in Hong Kong. The equestrian experience will cover all the basics, including correct and safe riding, dismounting explanation, learning the correct riding posture, balance, reining skills, controlling horse activities, and more. They also offer Horse Learning Full Day Camps that cost HK$380.

Located in picturesque Clearwater Bay Country Park, this international-standard horse riding school offers lessons for all levels ranging from beginner to competitive. The large stable of horses and ponies is suitable for all ages and abilities. They also offer popular horse camps and can organize a pony-themed birthday party for your little ones. They are a private horse riding center that offers classes to both members and non-members in Hong Kong.

Beas River is a multi-purpose, diverse equestrian center housing 250 horses and is the base for the HKJC Equestrian Affairs Department. In 2008, Beas River was also the setting for the cross-country phase of the Beijing Olympics Equestrian Competition. BRRS is a HKJC Members-only facility and offers Members the most extensive range of equestrian facilities in Hong Kong with excellent instruction in all disciplines. They also offer pony rides and stable tours for kids ages 3-12.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club operates three public riding schools Tuen Mun in New Territories and Pok Fu Lam and Lei Yue Mun Park on Hong Kong Island. Ideal for kids aged 6 and up, the school offers a wide range of courses and activities to learn more about horse riding, horse care, and equestrian sport. Note, the Pokfulam school fills up very quickly.

Although it is reserved for members only, the HKJC Adopt a Pony kids program is one to check out if you and your kids are horse obsessed! Little ones can adopt a pony of their choice and gear up with a welcome pack complete with Jockey goggles.
