The Hong Kong Maritime Museum is thrilled to host the Clipper Stad Amsterdam, a magnificent clipper from The Netherlands on its round-the-world voyage, as it berths at Central Pier No.9 from June 28 to July 2. Perfect for the long weekend, this family-friendly event offers an exclusive opportunity to explore this nineteenth-century designed, yet modernly equipped, vessel up close. Guided by crew members, the 45-minute tour will delve into the ship’s building technologies and sustainable concepts.
Tours are free of charge and conducted in English, accommodating up to 30 visitors per session, aged 10 and above. Advanced registration is required, and visitors must present valid identification. Registration is open now until June 25, with limited spots allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Each visitor can register for only one session, and successful applicants will receive a confirmation email by June 27.
While visiting, don’t miss the ship model displayed at C Deck in the museum, which tells the story of Batavia, a Dutch flagship from 1629. With over 500 years of maritime heritage, The Netherlands has transformed voyages into more than just expeditions. Enhance your visit with more insights at HKMM before or after your tour!
