To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Dongjiang water supply, the Dancing Water Drops Exhibition at Tamar Park takes center stage this spring. Designed by internationally acclaimed artist Simon Ma, the exhibition highlights the vital role Dongjiang Water has played in supporting Hong Kong’s growth and sustainability over the decades.
At the heart of the exhibition is a stunning 28.8-meter-tall water drop-shaped sculpture, set to debut in May, making it the largest of its kind in the world. Visitors can also admire an 18.8-meter-tall installation and hundreds of smaller “never-fall” water drop sculptures, each symbolizing unity, diversity, and inclusion. The use of recycled materials in these installations emphasizes the connection between art and environmental consciousness.
Running from April 1 to June 13, the exhibition spans Tamar Park and the Central and Western District Promenade, transforming the waterfront into a breathtaking tribute to the importance of Dongjiang water. Booking is required for timed entry, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit for all.
Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply looking for a unique outing, the Dancing Water Drops Exhibition is a remarkable celebration of culture, sustainability, and creativity.
