BOOK TICKETS: The Nutcracker Ballet Hong Kong 2024

It’s that time of the year. Time for Christmas cheer, the smell of mulled wine, and of course, the annual Hong Kong Ballet’s famous Nutcracker performance. This year, we are in for a treat as it is Septime Webre’s larger-than-life world premiere of The Nutcracker featuring a modern twist on the classic. We consider this production one of Hong Kong’s defining holiday traditions. The performance is set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic music with live accompaniment by Hong Kong Sinfonietta. The sets in this production are also intricately beautiful! In a tiny nutshell, the show follows a little girl Clara’s journey through swirling snowflakes, waltzing flowers, and nutcracker battles against a villainous Rat King, all to reunite with her love.

The performance will run for approximately 2 hours with one intermission. Its lively storyline and choreography make the show perfect for a family with both older and younger children.
