Times Square is celebrating Christmas with some exquisite craftsmanship this year! Two local miniature artists, Mr. Tony Lai, and Ms. Maggie Chan will recreate six street scenes from Hong Kong in the 1980s during Christmas. Talk about vintage! These scenes were built by the two artists together with their class of 33. They’ve managed to capture the romantic and quaint holiday celebrations of 30 years ago: the festive decorations that were strewn around downtown, the good old holiday feasts, Christmas films and of course the amusement parks.
You can come and see these beautifully detailed scenes of food and streets in Time Square. Come to reminisce these golden days! The exhibition will be open from 10am to 10pm from Nov 24 this year to Jan 1 next year.
If the prospect of these vintage scenes enthralls you, you can learn first-hand from Ms. Maggie Chan how to create your own models! Workshops will be held in the Miniature Exhibition Room.
