Parents-to-be and new parents are invited to join Hong Kong Academy (HKA) for the annual Exploration Day, featuring the exclusive Bump Club Event, especially for you! This occasion offers a unique opportunity to discover the enriching learning environment at HKA, meet the staff and current parents, and get a feel for this unique school in Sai Kung.

The event is open to families that are expecting, cruising around with a newborn, or having multi-aged kids as exciting free events are happening on campus on the day for all ages. Interested families are encouraged to explore what makes Hong Kong Academy special. The Bump Club serves as a perfect starting point for those considering HKA’s programs.

HKA looks forward to welcoming families on Exploration Day and embarking on this exciting journey together.

What To Expect?

• Insightful Discussions: HKA‘s Primary School Counselor and trained Play Therapist, Cheryl Shanahan, will share the watch, wait, and wonder philosophy, emphasizing the importance of child voice, choice, and ownership in learning. Her amazing early years insight and training will give parents handy tips to take home and more insight into the HKA early years focus – you will love her!
• Relax And Explore: Snack on delicious refreshments and meet parents in a casual setting
• Campus Tours: After the Bump Club chat, attendees can take guided tours of the facilities with current parents who will share their experience of the school and why they love it for their children.
• Fun for Kids: Toddlers and kids can explore designated areas, including indoor and outdoor Playscapes, allowing parents to connect with each other and the staff.
• Special Offer For Attendees:
  • All attendees will be eligible for an Application Fee Waiver for applications submitted by November 4, 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for families considering HKA for their child’s education.
  • Learn And Taste: The Playgroup program is designed for 2-3 year-olds and one accompanying adult. This hands-on, shared learning experience features Early Childhood educators who have adapted the International Baccalaureate framework to engage young minds and empower children to become active creators of their own understanding. Participants can enjoy a FREE 2-hour Playgroup taster session for their 2-3 year old!

• Time: 9:30am-10:30am (BUMP CLUB MINGLE), 10:30am-11am (CAMPUS TOUR).  The full Exploration Day Event runs until 1:30pm – stay, eat, chat, explore!

  • CHAT + MEET (9:30 AM – 10:30 AM): Bump Club Chat with Cheryl Shanahan, along with refreshments.
  • OPTIONAL TOUR OF HKA (10:30 AM – 11:00 AM): Tours of the campus and meet the dedicated faculty
