The team at Little Steps has put together this handy list of fun and unique ways to unwind and recharge, with everything from silent retreats to flying yoga suspended above one of Hong Kong’s most beautiful beaches!

If you're looking to escape from the stressors and stimulation around you, if only for an hour, head over to Float Co. on Caine Road. Guests lie in pods containing 10 inches of water with 500kg of Epsom Salts dissolved in it, allowing you to float without effort on the surface. Due to the natural buoyancy of the water, the forces of gravity that weigh you down day to day disappear entirely. With nothing to distract you, your nervous system stops reacting to external stimuli and instead focuses on preparing and rejuvenating the body from the inside. Emerge from your pod calm and zen, if not a little weary of rejoining the outside world!
Pricing starts at HK$800 for a single float (60 minutes) or HK$500 per float with a package of three. Lifestyle Membership Programs are also available.

If you're looking for a new and exciting yoga challenge, have a go at Bamboo Yoga. Classes take place on Sai Wan Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the city. Bamboo Yoga is similar to aerial yoga, however, you're suspended above the sand on a bamboo tripod. Bamboo Yoga was the brainchild of Founder Aleksandra Milewicz, who wanted to take her aerial yoga practice and bring it into nature in a unique, safe, and creative way.
Bamboo Yoga offers full or half-day workshops in Hong Kong. The full-day courses are suitable for beginners and start with aerial basics at the Yoga Bam Bam studio in Central, followed by a hike to Tai Long Wan and a session spent flying over the ocean. If you're an aerial pro, sign up for the half-day course on the beach.

If the noise and clutter of everyday life are starting to wear you down, a 3 day/2 night Cheung Chau Silent Retreat could be just what the doctor ordered. Organized by Vata Yoga Retreat, the design of the retreats is based on Ayurveda wisdom and encourages you to connect your mind and body in a safe (and quiet!) space in nature. The silence will begin on the first evening and last to the final morning, and it's a complete digital detox as well, so be prepared to leave the phone at home. Yoga is practiced every day and is suitable for all levels. All lessons begin with a breathing exercise, Tai Chi, and a sequence designed through Ayurveda principles.
Retreats are held at the Christian retreat house on Cheung Chau island, overlooking the sea and just a 20-minute leafy walk from the pier. Rooms are simple but clean, and meals are simple yet delicious vegetarian fare.
