Pre-pandemic, tour experts Hong Kong Greeters held in-person experiences and their seasoned guides led tours all around Hong Kong. However, with the arrival of social distancing, they pivoted their business and now sell physical products that enable their clients to set off on “Quests” and explore different parts of the city without a guide.
All family-friendly Quests are set in Hong Kong, sending kiddos on a scavenger hunt to discover the secrets and history of a local neighborhood, all the while following clues and directions to unravel a mystery and complete the challenge.
Hong Kong Greeters is all about storytelling, so each Quest has a unique (fictional) backstory such as a bank heist, haunting, or a lost time traveler. They’ve woven quirky and weird facts into each story, with the goal of getting you to discover things you ordinarily never would have known were there, such as hidden war tunnels, secret rooftops, and “haunted” houses.
After the exploration is over and the mystery is successfully solved, you can unlock a secret page on the Hong Kong Greeters website where the kids can download a completion certificate to proudly display at home.
You can buy the Central and Wan Chai Quests directly from the Hong Kong Greeters website HERE. The cost of each Quest is HK$350 and the package will be delivered to your home within 24 hours.
It's active, it's screen-free, and it gets the kids outside and exploring their surroundings.
Families with kids aged 6-12.
Take as little or as long as you like to complete each Quest. Stop for snack breaks at unique spots in the chosen areas.
