Quarry Bay Park With Kids – Bike Park And Playground

Sometimes it may seem hard to find good, plain family fun in Hong Kong, but we’ve found it! Throw the bikes in the car, and head to Quarry Bay Park for a ride for a day of fun in the sun. What we love about this park is that it caters to kids of all ages with a few sports fields, a playground, and the big highlight – a cycling path that is an enclosed loop so kids can go round and round. This is also a great place for little kids to learn how to ride their bike in Hong Kong.
Cycle Path: No matter their level, your kids will love freely racing around the scenic 640-meter loop. And you’ll love that it’s flat and cushioned and never too crowded. There’s even a handy jogging path that runs alongside the entire length of the bike path…so you can get a workout too!
Basketball Court: With 4 hoops to shoot at, this is perfect for teens looking to play with their friends or to make new friends!
Tennis Courts: With 6 tennis courts, your kids can take classes here! It is quite a peaceful environment to learn tennis!
Soccer Pitch: Quarry Bay Park has a Half FIFA size soccer pitch, with lessons available for kids. This is also available for rental services.
Playground: There is a huge playground around the corner for extra fun for the kids. It includes swings, slides and climbing structures and many benches for sitting. It has rubberised floors for the playground, which helps reduce the risk of injury for little kids. Overall, It is a really good park if you live around the Quarry Bay/Taikoo Shing/Sai Wan Ho Area
Food: When your little riders are hungry from all the biking (or you just can’t keep up with them anymore!), grab lunch at one of the many kid-friendly restaurants nearby like Pizza Express or Frites Quarry Bay. There is also a handy Starbucks if you are looking for a coffee. There is also a Slurpee Machine equipped 7 Eleven, which is a must for roaming around in the heat!

If you want an easy cultural add-on? You can follow the walking path over the harbour and head right to visit Hong Kong's historic fireboat - Alexander Grantham. Kids can climb, explore the cabins, and snap photos on this boat full of history.

A few tips:
*For those driving, you can park directly in front of the entrance to the park at Berkshire House in Quarry Bay. For those taking a taxi, you can ask the car to drop you at the entrance by Berkshire House (25 Westlands Road) in Quarry Bay. It's also easy to access via walking from Quarry Bay MTR.
*If you need to rent bikes, you can typically find a few at the entrance from Hobabike but no guarantee.
