    One of the first sights upon arrival is A Ma Wan Bay, known for its unique geology of fine laminated sedimentary rocks formed 55 million years ago. The beach is dotted with white coral skeletons from over 60 coral species. Nearby, the Tin Hau ‘Goddess of the Sea’ Temple in Sha Tau village dates back to the mid-18th century.

    Key Destinations on Tung Ping Chau:

    • Kang Lau Shek: This headland, resembling a pair of ancient watchtowers, offers dramatic sea views and excellent photo opportunities.
