Stanley Market is a popular outdoor market located in the Stanley neighborhood on the southern side of Hong Kong Island. It’s known for its wide variety of inexpensive clothing, accessories, souvenirs, and other goods. The market spans several pedestrian streets and alleyways, creating a lively, bustling atmosphere.

What to Buy

  • Clothing – The market has many stalls selling affordable clothing items like t-shirts, dresses, pants, and accessories. Haggling is expected.
  • Accessories – Browse the many stalls selling jewelry, bags, scarves, hats, and other fashion accessories at low prices.
  • Souvenirs – Look for stalls selling traditional Chinese souvenirs, Hong Kong-themed items, chopsticks, fans, tea sets, and more.  We love the neon signs you can custom design!
  • Household goods – You can find inexpensive kitchenware, home decor, and other household items.

Tips for Shopping

  • Arrive early in the day for the best selection and less crowds.
  • Bring small bills and coins to make bargaining easier.
  • Negotiate prices, as vendors generally expect customers to haggle.
  • Be cautious of counterfeit goods, especially for brand-name items.
  • Explore the side streets and alleyways beyond the main market area.
  • Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking involved.
