Everything you want to know about Indonesian culture can be found at Galeri Indonesia Kaya! The digital multimedia technology at this gallery, including the latest Microsoft Surface technology, makes for an interactive, accessible and educational outing with the kids…and it’s free!
Upon entering the gallery, multimedia screens will welcome you with a couple wearing traditional clothes and speaking the region’s different languages. Further on, a fantastic video mapping of wayang kulit (traditional leather shadow puppets) plays the epic story of Mahabharata, then on to more fun! Learn about Indonesian tourism, foods, arts, and traditions on the Indonesia Smart Screen. Play traditional instruments and games, arrange your own music, dress up in traditional Indonesian clothes and snap a pic! Kids will especially love to play on the giant screen where they explore Indonesia on a flying boat.
After you’ve had your fill, chill out at the lounge with their free tablets before heading home.
Cultural fun in interactive way, plus free-admission performances and workshops.
Families, groups of students, and pint-sized cultural enthusiasts.
