If stirring, whisking, mixing and tossing is your kids’ cup of tea, it’s time to give them a whirl at the kitchen table top of Young Chef’s Academy! Now in its tenth year, Julie Fabing Burleson and Suzy Vinson Nettles’s popular cooking school is open for young kitchen enthusiasts from ages 3-18.
The youngest chefs-in-training will begin with the Kindercooks course, where they learn basic cooking techniques, age-appropriate culinary skills, and basic nutrition. Then on to the Junior Chef and Senior Chef classes for children 7+, which focus on food handling, knife safety skills, and meal preparation, plus they learn to make and taste new recipes each week!
Classes run throughout the year and are 100% hands-on, meaning every student does everything from start to finish! Be prepared to get messy and have lots of fun!
Classes at Young Chef's Academy are a good way to encourage a healthy diet (kids love to eat what they create) and table manners.
Foodies ages 3 to 18!
Check the Facebook Page for upcoming special and seasonal workshops! Birthday party packages also available.
