Jakarta International School (JIS)

Students represent sixty nationalities with a total enrollment of 2,400 across four campuses. JIS teachers are drawn from among the best international educators in the world with many staying on average seven years. Parents are crucial members of the learning partnership and are actively encouraged to take part in PTA, Board of Governors and school committees.

Early Childhood – The Early Childhood program serves children in Early Childhood I and II who range in age from 3 to 5 on both the Pondok Indah and Pattimura campuses.

Elementary School – JIS has two Elementary Schools, both serving students between the ages of 5 and 12 from Kindergarten to Grade Five. Pondok Indah Elementary (PIE) serves approximately 550 students and is located adjacent to the JIS Middle and High Schools. Pattimura Elementary (PEL) sits on a historic campus in Kebayaron Baru and serves approximately 400 students.

Middle School – Currently serves approximately 570 students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 who range in age from 10 to 14. The highly qualified MS faculty totals 60.

High School – Grades 9-12 and serves approximately 850 students between the ages of 14 and 19 on the Cilandak Campus. The highly qualified faculty totals around 100.

The Main School – as well as the core subjects, JIS also follows many language options, technology, library and media services, co-curricular activities, and student support services. The JIS Academy is for keen sports players who are serious about competitive play.
