With a green lifestyle approach, Ocean Ecopark is an open space for visitors of Ancol Taman Impian to explore botanical knowledge and outbound recreation. Ecopark is divided into different functions and facilities, such as Eco Care, Eco Nature, Eco Art, Eco Island and Eco Energy zones. There are coastal vegetation’s throughout the zones to support the environment. It is ideal for jogging or cycling and kids love playing, exploring, and strolling too.
Enjoy a refreshing day outdoors at Ocean Ecopark Ancol. Here you can do morning exercise with the whole family such as running, exercise on the static gym equipment, join aerobic sessions, morning jogs or join an event walk along the park. You can also rent a bike, electric scooter or golf car and take a ride along the park's bike paths. They have the best cycling tracks in the capital, with around 2.2 kilometers of straights, curves, uphills and downhills.
There’s a lot you can do in the learning farm. The learning farm will even let you plow their fields and plant some seeds. Kids will have a chance to learn about various types of plants, fruits and vegetables. Children have the opportunity to plant corn seeds and make a compost mixture. They encourage children to learn about the essentials of living off the land, learn about where the food comes from and the hard work that goes into running a farm.
Feed or play with ducks, goats, bunnies, birds and koi fish. The Ecopark staff will guide you on how to treat and feed the animals. Kids love this area!
There is no better way to introduce kids to the importance of honeybees. Ecopark features an educational bee farm that shows you how honey is harvested. Children have the opportunity to visit the bee house and learn about the different bees and the honey making process. Don’t be worried, this is safe! They will provide you with a bee keeper guide before entering the bee hive.
At the energy house, children will learn about recyclable and non recyclable waste. They also will learn about alternative energy like biogas and organic fertilizers. Get hands on - kids can learn how to make organic fertilizer from wet rubbish, learn to make organic lamps and replace candles. It's a simple way to teach children about alternative energy sources.
In an area over 1.5 hectares, a professional team from Ecopark will guide participants to do trekking in the outbound area. Outbondholic Ancol Adventure Park provides two outbound areas, for children ages 6 to ages 12 years and adult area from 12 years and above. Each circuit is divided by four zones: the green, blue, red and black zone. Each zone has eight games to play with the team, the games starts from low level to the high level of difficulty. They can play flying fox and enjoy other outbound activities.
Enjoy a ride around the ecopark lake in a two-seater pedal boat. Each boat can hold up to 2 people max. Pedal boats are first come first served. With its lush green scenery and peaceful waters you really can get back to nature. There are plenty of fish to feed. It’s good for all ages but not recommended for children under 5 years of age. Children can sit and watch while parents can have a go at steering as the boats are simple to control.
