Hari Malaysia & Publika Art Show

Spot Malaysia’s National Artefacts

2019 Aug 26

To commemorate the establishment of the Malaysian federation in 1963, Malaysia Day is held on 16 September every year. It marked the joining together of Malaya, North Borneo, Sarawak and Singapore to form Malaysia. It should not be confused though with Hari Merdeka (Independence Day) which falls on August 31 every year. Publika Shopping Gallery has been playing the active role and well known of its exquisite art & cultural event.

This year, in conjunction with Malaysia Day 2019, Publika will be collaborating with Arkib Negara Malaysia for an Art Exhibition to showcase and highlight Malaysia’s National Artefacts. Spot legendary findings such as the 1951 Nash Rambler; the car used by Tunku Abdul Rahman to declared the independence of the Federation of Tanah Melayu on August 31,1957 and subsequently marched around the city. The exhibition seeks to pay tribute to the resilience of Malaysians and inspire hope and optimism for the future by interpreting the course of our nation’s journey throughout the years and its aspirations.

Do note that the “finders keepers” policy does not apply to those who come across artefacts of cultural value. Happy sighting!
