We recently visited Kids’ City at City of Dreams Macau with our 3-year-old Little Steps Ambassador, Sofie. Spanning a whopping 17,000 square feet, this indoor playground is a kid’s paradise, offering many magical, immersive, and creative experiences for children. It’s comfortably air-conditioned but also has wonderful natural light shining in as well as an outdoor race track to whizz around with the kids and parents behind the wheel. Read on for all the highlights from our experience!
Remember to wear long-sleeve shirts that cover the wrists, long pants that reach the ankles, and socks; parents should also wear socks too!
Opening hours: 10:30am – 7:00pm (Last admission at 6:00pm) | Closed on Wednesday and Thursday, except July and August
Ticket prices: Weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Friday) and Weekends/Special Days (Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays, School Holidays)
Sofie was elated by her princess makeover at the Magic Wardrobe station. With professional hair and makeup styling at her fingertips, she was able to choose from over 100 costume sets. The staff was exceptionally patient and attentive, guiding her through her enchanting transformation and making her feel truly regal. (*Note: This makeover comes with an additional cost on top of the entry fee.) After her transformation, Sofie joyfully explored Kid's City, engaging in a variety of activities.
Additionally, a tailor-made photo machine is available to capture these magical moments, making the experience unforgettable.
The ball pit is an undeniable favorite for toddlers, especially three-year-olds. Sofie, in particular, loved the ball pool equipped with two slides and a variety of educational toys specially designed for children between 0-4 years old. Playing pretend in the mini supermarket was another highlight for her, sparking joy and creativity. Additionally, the Kinetic Sand station offers a fun sensory play experience.
If you're looking for a little downtime, hop on a rocking horse or settle into a seat at the Dream Theatre. Here, you can enjoy a lineup of movies that play throughout the day along with regular live performances. These engaging shows include magic acts, bubble displays, balloon twisting, and a variety of fun and interactive games. The theatre ensures there's always something exciting to catch, making it a perfect spot to relax and be entertained.
Kids' City is a dynamic and engaging play space designed to foster creativity and active play, with a diverse range of themed areas that include a messy play zone and an arts and crafts station. Sofie was immediately captivated, eager to dive into the various activities, though some require an additional fee. The Messy Play Station features activities like Magical Slimes, where children use safe materials to explore different textures and colors, enhancing sensory skills and creativity. They can also engage in Graffiti Art, using hands and feet to create on large drawing papers, with materials and protective kits available for MOP 30. The Art Attack Station offers a number of creative outlets including drawing, painting with various tools, soft clay modeling, and origami. Chargeable guided activities include making rainbow bottles, t-shirt painting, and creating wind chimes, sand paintings, and friendship bracelets, as well as festive DIY decorations and gifts.
Definitely don't miss the opportunity to enroll the kids in the gymnastics experience classes led by Mr. Serhiy Sakun, the Head Gymnastics Coach from The House of Dancing Water. Suitable for children aged 3 and older, these classes offer a unique exercise experience that goes beyond the basics.
Under the expert guidance of Mr. Sakun, children will learn fundamental artistic gymnastics skills and apparatus techniques. The classes are meticulously designed to enhance body strength, boost physical flexibility, and improve coordination and control across various body parts. This engaging approach to physical education is sure to inspire and challenge young participants, fostering both their athletic and personal growth.
