There is no other place in Asia that has transformed as rapidly as Macau. The impressive Cotai Strip is a holiday destination with dozens of glamorous hotels, casinos, and restaurants offering out-of-this-world cuisine, edgy world-class shows, and Las Vegas-inspired gaming.
Like Hong Kong, Macau is a special administrative region, SAR, of Greater China. It operates under the one country, two systems principle allowing autonomy in most of its governing and economic activities. It has a long history as the center of world trade. Macau is an exciting mix of Portuguese and Chinese cultures, with a smattering of Indian and other Asian cultures, which you can still feel in the local markets and food offerings.
You’ll likely recognize big casino names that attract gamers and holidaymakers worldwide, such as Wynn Resorts, MGM Grand, and Sands. Revenues have surpassed those in Las Vegas, thanks to an influx of gamers wanting to play away their dollars. The luxury resorts are a favorite escape, particularly for Hong Kongers wanting to see impressive shows and experience spa treatments, sunshine, and endless fine dining. The heart of tiny Macau is accessed easily by ferry, car, flight, or helicopter! Little Steps has gone all out in finding you and your family some of the best shows to see during your stay in Macau.
