If you’ve read or watched Initial D, the popular Japanese manga and anime centered around street racing, you would be familiar with the fictional Fujiwara Tofu Shop in the series that belonged to the main character’s father. Now fans and non-fans alike can get to experience that concept right here in Singapore, with a new store modeled exactly after it in the Geylang area.
Located near Aljunied MRT station, Fujiwara Tofu Shop is a snack and supper joint with Japanese bites, such as the Fujiwara Tofu (SG$7.90), Ika Karaage (SG$9.90) and Mala Scallop Lips (SG$8.90). They also have desserts if sweet treats are your preference.
During your visit, make sure to also check out the displays of collectibles that include miniature car models, clothing and sneakers and snap a picture with the actual life-sized Toyota AE86 stationed outside the store. The next time you’re wondering where to visit for a unique supper experience, now you’ve got just the place!
Fujiwara Tofu Shop offers a realistic experience for fans of the series, alongside some delectable savory treats.
Fans of the anime Initial D and supper enthusiasts.
The store is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, 6pm to 2am only.
