Singapore has a good number of bars. There’s plenty to choose from if you need a date night away from the kids and the stresses and strains of life. Whether you’re looking for a rooftop with a view, or something hidden away, Singapore’s bar scene has it all. Here are some of our favorite places to head to for date night.
For a truly magnificent view of Singapore, head to the roof of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. The price of your ticket to enter gets you one drink. They have an extensive cocktail menu as well as wines and beers. If you need to get away from it all, head up here and relax in a comfy lounger and watch the world below. There’s a nightly DJ too if you fancy a bit of a boogie.

The Cufflink Club is a stunning bar that serves up bespoke cocktails like you’ve never seen before. Drinks in test-tubes, tankards and even a plastic red cup! Cocktails are creative, unique and quite delicious. They’re a little pricey so come on pay day. Inspiration for each drink is taken from pop culture, literature and nostalgia. This is hands down one of the best cocktail bars in Singapore.

Home to the world’s highest brewery, the view isn’t too bad either. Grab a table outside and take in the view of Marina Bay and Singapore’s East Coast. Choose one of their home brews or a delicious, cold glass of wine. As well as date night it’s a good place to bring out of town guests. The food is good too, so plan on staying for dinner.

Set within the Regent hotel, this bar oozes opulence. If you really need a treat, this is the place to come. Voted one of the top bars in the world, come here if you want a proper cocktail. Try the Manhattan, or maybe a French 75. Relax and unwind as you let the bartenders fuss over you. They also have an adults only cocktail Sunday brunch, why not check that out too!

They have a good selection of cocktails, wines and beers. The Stellar restaurant is one floor below and a lovely place to go for dinner. Relax on a lounger and catch up on your day with a cold drink, in the warm air.

Head underground to enter this bar. The door doesn’t have the name above it, so make sure you follow the cool folk down these dark steps. The barman will happily create a concoction for you. The bar has won many accolades since opening in 2015. It’s the place to go for cocktails, we wouldn’t order a beer, as their list is extensive and quite simply delicious.
Operation Dagger, 7 Ann Siang Hill, #B1-01, Singapore 069791, www.facebook.com/operationdagger/
Located on the roof of the National Gallery, this is a bar with a view. Take in the view of the Padang and Marina Bay in the distance. There’s a lot of copper, metal and wood all illuminated with warm lighting. Choose one of their carefully curated cocktails or ask them to make something for you. Make sure you wander through the gallery before heading up, it’s worth the tour.

Formerly located in Boat Quay, this Chinatown bar is a must visit. Head up stairs and start to sample the cocktails they have on offer. They like making cocktails, plain and simple. You can easily spend a couple of hours here before ambling down Amoy Street to find some local food. If you like fuss-free, you’ll like this place.

Do you have the password? You can’t come in without it! Hidden behind an unassuming door, is a dark bar with a cool vibe. Fancy a cocktail in a bathtub, or something warming and strong? Head on in, get a seat at the bar, and ask one of the nice young men to create something for you. Want them mix away, have fun, and create something delicious and fabulous.

This is a noisy cocktail bar located on the hip and happening Hong Kong Street. It’s hidden away so look at for the street numbers. They only do cocktails so don’t come here and ask for a glass of wine. Ingredients are the best, often organic and drinks are expertly made. You’ll find everything is made fresh in front of you.
