For the first time in Singapore, Carnival Of The Animals has arrived. An internationally acclaimed contemporary circus company from Brisbane Australia, Circa, brings a blend of circus, multimedia, and music to the Sands Theatre, together with leading presenter Asia Pacific Base Entertainment.
The Carnival Of The Animals was composed by famous French composer, Saint-Saëns, in 1886. He had banned all public performances of his work for this piece because he feared that it was too whimsical and would interfere with his reputation as a composer of serious works. Today, The Carnival of the Animals is considered to be one of Saint-Saëns’ most popular works. It is a comedic musical suite of 14 movements, each dedicated to a specific animal.
This performance is no doubt a mesmerizing one, bringing everyone, even children, on a wild adventure of a vivid imagination. Circa is world-renowned for pushing boundaries and creating powerful works of circus art that thrill, challenge and captivate the audience.
Let your imagination spin free in the wondrous world of the animal kingdom, and get ready to slip into an alternate reality where elephants can dance and frogs ride unicycles. The stage is set, and an adventure awaits!
