To ensure you get to skate no matter rain or shine, head to the new indoor Por Viida Skateboarding park, which has slopes and ramps to practice your skills. The space is suitable for both newbies and seasoned skaters to attempt. After working up a sweat, cool off at their shower facilities and a drink or two at their vending machines.

Over at the West side of Singapore lies a new skatepark at Lakeside Gardens. In fact, it’s the largest skatepark in Singapore with over 1700 square meters. Besides ramps to practice at, there are also parkour walls for an alternative kind of fun. The skatepark is open from 8am to 10pm daily.

If you want to hone your skate skills like Rodney Mullen, then Xtreme SkatePark is the place to be. This all-inclusive, 1.4-hectare skate park is designed to fit into the beach setting and has areas for both novices and pros. It's decked with a combo bowl, a vertical bowl, and a street course featuring a mix of obstacles for skaters to nail their flips, grinds, and other gravity-defying tricks. Not only for skater boys (and girls), the park also welcomes BMX enthusiasts and their two-wheelers.

Located right in the heart of the shopping district, this skate park is a fave among the youths. Somerset Skatepark is fitted with ramps for beginners plus a graffiti wall for local artists to showcase their work. What's more, there are also various fun boxes that feature obstacles including rails, ledges and ramps. Weekends can get pretty busy so best to time your visits especially if the kids are in tow.

This skate park is right near Gate 14 of the National Stadium and it allows you to be acquainted with the basics which are great for kids. There's a mini ramp that's set up along with a fun box and several low rails. For advanced skaters, check out the quarter mini pipe.

Not too far from Tampines MRT is this simple space for skaters across all skill levels. It's fitted with all the essentials for a skate park like a flat ramp, grind box, flat rail, and a facing quarter-pipe. The spine here is smaller and gentler, so it's safer for the kiddos. There are also malls within walking distance so it's super convenient for hungry kiddos after.

The Bishan Harmony Park skate park features ramps of different heights and gradients. There is also a bowl for skaters to practice stunts! After some skating fun, kiddos can also venture to the other areas of Bishan Park where there are playgrounds and even a maze! You can also catch the resident otters in action.

Located between Punggol and Sengkang, this skate park is within the grounds of Buangkok Sports Park, a community fitness arena for the residents around the area. Although this skate park is small, it is fitted with half- and quarter-pipes and rails for riding and practicing skate tricks. There's a lot of space for beginners to practice around the park as well.

For those living in the West, there's no need to travel far to get your skateboarding fix. The Jurong West Skatepark is a walking distance from NTU. The park features gently sloped small flat ramps that are suitable for younger kids as well.
