The Play! Tennis curriculum was developed in consultation with certified tennis coaches, sports psychologists, and child-care professionals. Sessions cover the physical and mental aspects of tennis, which means staying focused on the game. They use age-appropriate equipment such as smaller-sized rackets, and bigger and slower balls. Your kids will start with simple hand-eye coordination drills such as throwing and catching the balls with their hands before moving on to use their rackets to bounce and hit the balls.
Most importantly, Play! Tennis has a philosophy of developing the characters of the kids they coach. They want to teach them the right attitudes on and off the court so that these positive values can help shape their character and channel their energy into something worthwhile!

Ignite Tennis Academy carefully curates its programs for kids, differentiating classes for age groups like having slower balls and shorter rackets for younger kids between 5 to 8 years old. Older kids 11 and older will then be able to progress onto taking longer training matches and faster balls to reach a more competitive level. Holiday camps are also available if your kid wants a more intense but faster approach to picking up the sport.

Tanglin Academy in Singapore offers a Play and Stay program designed to provide a structured development pathway for kids. The program consists of three color-coded stages: Red, Orange, and Green. Each stage includes a series of developmental steps that allow players to progress based on their age, ability, confidence, and orientation to competition. As kids advance through the stages, they experience gradual changes in the court size, racket length, ball speed, and game duration. This progressive approach ensures that players are well-prepared before transitioning to the full-size court and using a yellow ball.
