Budding musicians recently took part in the inaugural OWIS Young Musician of the Year contest. Featuring 70 participants, the contest showcased the best in strings, vocals, piano, and percussion, and the end-of-year concert presented another platform where students had the chance to shine.
Sporty students, meanwhile, took part in ACSIS track and field and gymnastics competitions, and achieved fantastic results thanks to their commitment.
At OWIS, field trips are an integral part of the learning approach. Their Early Childhood students recently visited Asia’s largest bird park, Bird Paradise, while Grade 3 students went to the Sustainable Singapore Gallery to learn about water sustainability and innovation. Secondary School students, meanwhile. explored the Ancient Civilisation Museum and gained insights into history and culture.
Fostering independence and teamwork among students, residential trips also play a big part in school life at OWIS. Grade 4 students recently attended an adventure camp at Pasir Ris, Grade 5 students enjoyed a trip to Desaru, while secondary students ventured to Malaysia and Vietnam.
