Established in 1995, Brighton Montessori has been one of the city's favorite Montessori preschools for over 25 years and now operates five Singapore centers. A Structured Environment Emphasizing Individualized Learning

Brighton Montessori is well-known for having a structured environment where children are coached individually during lessons according to their own needs. Over the course of the term, teachers help each student until core concepts are understood and mastered. With this hands-on approach to education, each student can learn at their own pace and excel in their own way, despite each child having very different learning needs.

The curriculum focuses on 5 Montessori Focus Areas:

• Practical Life Skills - refining fine motor skills and building independence and confidence for life skills.
• Sensorial Exercises - refines the five senses during learning and teaches attributes such as shapes, sizes, and colors.
• Language - introduces phonics and early grammar through Montessori tools and activities.
• Mathematics - foundations taught through sandpaper numerals, counting rods, and beads; worksheets introduced for Kindergarten 2.
• Cultural Studies - monthly thematic learning to expand general knowledge in botany, geography, and history.

There are also the following Enrichment Options:

• Intensive Chinese Immersion Program (ICIP) covers classic poetry, vocabulary, strokes, and comprehension, amongst many others.
• Kids Fun Discovery Program (KFDP) - covers subjects such as speech and drama, arts and crafts, cookery, and sports, amongst others.

A Strong Academic Foundation That Prepares Children For Primary 1

Brighton Montessori is proud to be the first Montessori preschool in Singapore to introduce worksheets (for the higher levels). These worksheets help children go over subjects they have learned and mastered previously, and importantly it also introduces the concept of schoolwork to children. This process better helps them prepare for the transition to formal education in Primary 1.

This academic foundation is complemented by extracurriculars such as excursions, celebrating different festivals and holidays, and parent events.

Nutrition and wellness are also paramount at Brighton Montessori, and the school takes pride in serving nutritious, well-balanced meals for lunch and snacks each day.
