Yishun is a residential town located in the North-Eastern region of Singapore. The place was formerly known as Nee Soon, named after a prominent businessman in the colonial era who made his fortune establishing rubber and pineapple plantations in the area. Since the 1970s, the town has been redeveloped into a municipality with modern amenities and infrastructure. In recent months, local press reported that Yishun developed a reputation for bad news. ORTO is Singapore’s first multi-recreational park that is open 24 hours daily! The sprawling premise houses Katapult – An indoor trampoline park, Diggersite – A pseudo-construction playsite for children, a drift karting arena, fishing and prawning facilities, as well as numerous dining options! It is a perfect place for the family to enjoy fun recreational activities and escape from the hustle and bustle of city life!

Situated on the site of an old rubber plantation, Yishun park has an interesting variety of fruit trees and hilly terrain which is great for a short hike with the family! Little ones will adore the outdoor playground with rope obstacles and spacious sandpits. There is a fenced-dog run area within the park, suitable for small to medium sized dogs. SAFRA clubhouse is just around the corner too!

Located at the fringe of Yishun and Sembawang, Hao-Chi Durian opened its second branch this year, offering Durian buffet within an air-conditioned premise! Durian lovers could savor a variety of durians such as the infamous Mao San Wang, D24, Black Pearl, Golden Phoenix and many others. You could call for delivery or arrange for a drive-through pick up as well!
