Gear up and head to the east where your cycling adventure that connects Pasir Ris Park to East Coast Park awaits! The path is nice and flat and you get to enjoy the spectacular eastern coastline of the island. You can choose to stop over various green pockets along the way and also get some grub at the food centers. Either bring your own bikes or simply rent them from any of the PCN (Park Connector Network) Pitstops located along the track. For tots and bubs not yet ready to cycle yet, there are attachable baby seats for the bicycles for rent as well.

Feeling peckish after? Go all the way to Changi Beach Park and grab some delicious grub at the Changi Village Hawker Centre! Moms and Dads can cool down with some drinks at Little Island Brewing Company too.

Start off this route at Tanjong Rhu Promenade, located opposite Singapore Sports Hub, and you'll find yourself basking amongst famous landmarks in the heart of the city. Explore Gardens by the Bay towards Marina Barrage alongside the Marina Bay skyline and enjoy some panoramic views at the promenade of Marina Bay Sands and the ArtScience Museum. You might even spot some resident otters while you're at it!

Fancy a little respite from the hustle and bustle of city life? Hop on your bicycle and travel around St John's Island and Lazarus Island. It takes a simple 20 minute ferry from Marina South Pier to get to the island itself, and once there, you'll be able to rent bicycles and kick scooters. The cycling route is pretty much a breeze, since it includes well-paved paths. You'll also be greeted by tranquil scenery consisting of lush greenery and sandy beaches. If the family would like to engage in additional activities, beach tents, beach mats and kites are also available for rent.

This loop encompasses the neighborhoods of Buangkok, Sengkang, and Punggol, to Punggol Beach, and the Lorong Halus Wetland. You can start at Punggol Waterway Park,where the well-maintained tracks that are bound to make cycling a breeze. You can cycle along the promenade while admiring the surrounding view, and for the energetic kiddos, there’s a water playground and sand-play area for them to go wild!

The Round Island Route is meant to be a continuous park connector and island-wide network which ultimately aims to span 150km in total. Phase one has been completed and launched since year 2022, and the trail goes from Rower's Bay in the North-East of Singapore to Berlayer Creek in the South of Singapore. The scenic route leads you through key connectivity points like Rower's Bay, Sengkang Riverside Park, Pasir Ris Park, Changi Beach Park, East Coast Park and Berlayer Creek, all of which are convenient starting points depending on where you'd like to begin your cycling journey.

Explore the untouched terrain of Coney Island as you veer off Punggol Waterway Park. You can cycle along the path, or if you're feeling more adventurous, check out the forested areas and find yourselves peering out at the many beaches. Forget tourist attractions on Sentosa and bring your kids on a cycling escapade instead. Bring along your bikes or you can easily hire from Segway Tours Singapore. There are also SG Bikes for hire at your disposal. Head to the beach walk area if you’ve got little ones still learning how to cycle, where the roads are flatter and much easier for them to handle. Older kiddos can take up the challenge on the more hilly terrain around the island.

One of the more underused cycling routes in Singapore, Track 15 is suitable for beginners, but can be a tad challenging for younger children considering certain downhill sections and several short climbs. However, it's still relatively easy for older kids and teenagers, although a helmet, knee pads and elbow pads are recommended due to the rocky terrain. The track itself is an enjoyable one, and is perfect for building both endurance and confidence. You can choose from two different starting points, including the entrance at Mandai Road or via the Chestnut Nature Reserve.

Cycling is very much uphill here across Mt Faber Park and Telok Blangah Hill. You can start off at Buona Vista Road, cycle until the 80-meter-long Alexandra Arch, known as a ‘Gateway to Nature’. Explore the Forest Walk and head towards Telok Blangah Hill. Kids and adults will love the iconic Henderson Waves, famed for its undulating wave-like structure. You can take a breather here and marvel at the view atop trees and vegetation.

Although this trail is not so much for beginners, it is filled with amazing sights and ought to be on your list of cycling routes if the family feels up for it. The trail includes several nature parks like Lornie Nature Corridor and Jurong Lake Gardens, offering loads of stunning visuals along the way. If the route itself seems to be a tad too long and tedious for the kids, it's recommended to complete only a portion of it - but fret not, you'll still be able to get quite a heck of a cycling adventure while feasting your eyes on lush greenery along the way.

One of the largest urban parks on the island with lots of wildlife spotting is Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, part of the Central Urban Loop. With the Kallang River as its backdrop and various playgrounds, you can take a breather here, have the kids run around as you enjoy the scenery. Resident otters have been spotted here too! If your kiddos are older and are up for it, exploring the Kranji Countryside on bikes might be an interesting weekend adventure. Here, there are no cycling paths, but you’ll be riding on normal roads so make sure you’re all safely geared up for it. The main route takes you past the World War II Battle of Kranji site and various agriculture and animal farms. You can stop over at the famous Bollywood Veggies Farm/Restaurant for a quick bite along the way. End off your day by visiting the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve for a close encounter with nature.

This particular route is titled the Rail Corridor because it was formerly a railway line used for commuting and transporting goods between Singapore and the rest of the Malay Peninsula. Now, it is a continuous open space that allows for bonding activities like hiking, strolling or even cycling. You may even encounter some local wildlife along the ecological corridor, and included in its route are major landmarks like the Bukit Timah Railway Station, Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, and Bukit Timah Truss Bridge. What's promised is an adventurous ride around Singapore and many photo spots for family pictures to remember the fun-filled day.

For the thrill-seeker families and those yearning for a look back at Singapore in the 60s, Pulau Ubin is THE place for your next biking venture. Hop off the ferry at the jetty and you’ll be greeted with bike rental shops, and attachable tot seats are also available for rental. If you’ve got little tikes in tow, skip the Ketam Trail, which is Singapore’s first purpose-built mountain biking trail. Opt for the other trails and tracks with flat stretches, although slopes are highly inevitable around the island. Most important advice for cycling in Ubin?
