Just when you thought that Singapore couldn’t possibly have another nature park, another one opens! Windsor Nature Park located off Venus Drive along Upper Thomson Road is the 6th buffer park to surround the Central Catchment Nature Reserve. There are 3 trails rated with different difficulty levels to choose from. The Hanguana trail is by far the easiest with its flat boardwalks and is perfect for bubs and strollers in tow. This trail showcases Singapore’s native plants like the durian, spindle-shaped ginger and Hanguana plant species. The Squirrel trail is longer and slightly more picturesque than the Hanguana. It features raised boardwalks, cobbled paths, streams and is home to the local squirrels!
The main highlight of the Drongo Trail is the elevated walkway that spans 150 meters and links right to the Tree Top Walk at MacRitchie. In total, the 7km walk through the trails would take you about 3 to 4 hours to complete so grab the whole family for a day’s adventure and ensure you pack sufficient supplies.
Another park to explore the greener side of our island! What's not to love, especially when it has stroller-friendly boardwalks and pathways!
Everyone!
Hooray for bird watchers as Windsor Park is home to several species of birds! Grab your binoculars and you might even spot a pangolin!
