Haw Par Villa might be known for their hell theme and scary-looking statues which may not be all that kid-friendly. But here’s something new that is suitable for the whole family to get involved in. Shipping Container Hotel is a pop-up staycation concept where you can live inside a container outdoors, just like your very own camping trip overseas!
Located at Haw Par Villa’s Carpark C, there are 2 container hotels you and the family can call home for a night, with prices starting from SG$200 a night. Each container hotel experience is complete with a kitchenette, ensuite toilet, fridge, TV, and 2 queen-size beds so you have all you need for the ultimate getaway. What is arguably the best part is how there’s also a private outdoor patio where you can wind down with a book or hold a cozy BBQ. Electric grills are also available for rent at SG$20.
Not only do the container hotels provide peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but hotel guests also get 50% off Haw Par Villa entry tickets, so your activities for the day are pretty much settled. Plus, with shops and cafes within the area, you’ll never have to worry about feeling bored.
It’s not common to get a cabin in the woods experience in Singapore, but this comes pretty close.
People looking for a unique stay experience that is also suitable for all ages.
One of the containers is also pet-friendly so feel free to bring over your fur baby if you wish!
