Take a stroll, feel the wind, and discover the wonders. The Ghibli Park is a theme park like no other. With no big attractions and no rides, Ghibli Park invites their fans to immerse in the Ghibli experience, roaming between small and large artifacts and exhibits from past Studio Ghibli Movies. In November 2022, 3 out of 5 areas are scheduled to open. Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse is an indoor facility where you can see the Cat Bus from My Neighbor Totoro (Tonari No Totoro) and Robot Soldier from Laputa Castle In The Sky. The second one, the Hill of Youth features the antique shop from Whisper of The Heart (Mimi o Sumaseba). Meanwhile, the last one is called Dondoko Forest where you will find Satsuki and Mei’s house from My Neighbor Totoro.
The long-awaited park is located in Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park, just an hour by train from Nagoya. You can also take a day trip from Tokyo (almost 3 hours by Shinkansen bullet train) or from Kyoto (just under 2 hours by Shinkansen bullet train). To visit the park, you have to buy tickets in advance on their official website. Click here to buy your tickets.
