As you know, it's pretty common to find seafood restaurants along the Desaru Coast, and here are some options that you can add to your itnerary.
You can try Sengat Seafood Restaurant and try some of their signature dishes such as Nonya Steam Fish, Butter Lobster and Chilli Crab. They do offer non-seafood selects on their menu as well so you can order a nice mix!
Located in the heart of Desaru is Desaru Seafood Corner, a seafood restaurant that might be a convenient lunch or dinner option! Popular dishes there include the Black Pepper Crab, Salad Lobster and Grilled Fish. They also have meat dishes if you don't want the whole meal to be filled with only seafood.
There are also other types of cusines nearby. One example is Nakon Thai Boat Noodle Restaurant, which serves authentic Thai dishes. The servings are quite small, making it perfect for kids since they sometimes tend to be small eaters. This also means that the family can mix and match dishes and try more options.
For other types of cuisines, head to 261 Bar & Restaurant. They serve an array of cuisines, including Western, Chinese, Malaysian, and more. One of their more popular menu picks is the Char Siew Rice, which might just be something that your little one will enjoy!
There are so many exciting things to do at Desaru Coast with kids! The Adventure Waterpark offers one of the biggest wave pools in the world, a mega lazy river, loads of slides, surfing options, and Kids Ahoy for the toddlers which is filled with water play equipment and a combined total of 13 different water slides for tots.
The Els Club is a 45-hole golf course in Desaru Coast - perfect for little learners to pros. For nature lovers, sign up for the Eco Tour Mangrove Cruising where a naturalist guide will lead you to uncover superstitions of local fishermen, plant mangrove saplings and sample local flavors.
If you prefer an activity near the sea, join the Desaru Coast Beach Walk for a stroll on the beach as you get a deeper insight into the importance of the coastal environment. You'll also get to learn about the rich geological history of the rock pools, or maybe you'd like to indulge in some watersports with Dash Outdoors, like stand-up paddling, zorb water ball, water skiing, and more.
Kids will have a blast at Desaru Fruit Farm, where the whole family can enjoy a guided tour and explore the vegetable and herb garden, as well as the petting zoo. You can even book an ATV Riding Tour with them, and kids are permitted to ride with an adult as well! It'll be such a fun and thrilling experience for the little ones.
For those who need your caffeine fix every day, or families who want to sit and chill at cafes during your trip, you can visit some of these little gems.
First up is Constant Grind, a cute cafe located at Hard Rock Hotel that serves your coffee and drinks in unique cups - some are even music themed! You can find delicious juices, milkshakes and cakes on their menu, which is perfect for the kiddos to snack on midway through the day.
Another great option is Richiamo Coffee, which not only serves tasty pastries and coffee, but also has food options like pasta and Nasi Lemak. The wide variety of options on their menu makes it kid-friendly as well since they have more choices. Besides getting your caffeine fix here, you can also have a nice meal before continuing your day!
If you've got a craving for sweets, do drop by Comma Bakes! They've got an amazing selection of pastries available, like doughnuts and croissants. There are even savory options on the menu, such as hotdogs, pasta, fries, and more. Of course, there is also a list of coffee options, and they're served in adorable cups featuring their brand name.
There are a few ways to get to Desaru Coast from Singapore. One of the most convenient is by private hire car, and you can find quite a few companies that offer this service. Some examples of these companies include SGMYTAXI, Nusa Transport, and Sunshine Transport. Their websites usually state the types of cars available, rates, and available packages.
You can also get to Desaru Coast via ferry, and it's actually a very convenient method of travelling to and from Desaru Coast. You can either book single or round trips online, and the ferries usually operate from Thursdays to Sundays. It only takes around 90 minutes to get to Desaru Coast, so the travelling is pretty easy!

Dubbed ‘The World’s Greatest Amateur Cycling Event’, L’Étape Malaysia returns to the sun-kissed shores of Desaru Coast for its second year in a row. The event features five categories, including the all-new ELITE Category dedicated to participants seeking to challenge themselves like the pros.
Participants, supporters, and guests at Desaru Coast will also be able to enjoy a range of activities at the L’Étape Festival Village, including the world’s first L’Étape Pushbike competition for kids, a French Exhibition, performances by 15 local indie bands, and a sensational mini-concert. July 1 to 31, 2023: Adventure Waterpark Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary
The Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark is celebrating its fifth anniversary this July by giving out free tickets to all July babies! Home to the first water coaster in the region and one of the biggest wave pools in the world, the Adventure Waterpark features more than 20 wet and dry rides, slides, and attractions where guests can create fond memories with loved ones while having a splashing good time!
To redeem the birthday tickets, guests must bring along at least one other paying visitor. The special birthday tickets are not available for online purchase and can only be redeemed once throughout the entire month of July. Guests looking to redeem these tickets can do so at the ticket counter at the Adventure Waterpark entrance.
Do note that these tickets are not valid with any other ongoing promotions.
