SAIGON SQUARE
This is where you go to bargain hunt. There is isle upon isle of small stalls selling t-shirts, men’s and women’s apparel, shoes, handbags, swimwear, luggage, jewellery, and textiles. Make sure you barter and don’t settle on the first stall you visit, competition is rife!

ZEN PLAZA
Home to main stream brands this is where you come to get a proper shopping fix. the seven-storey shopping mall houses Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Levi's, Kappa, Geox, Ecco and Sketchers outlets as well as prominent Vietnamese brands such as Trong Nguyen and Thanh Long.

DIAMOND PLAZA
This mall is housed in a beautiful colonial building and close to some of the main attractions. It covers four floors of cosmetics, apparel, toys, and accessories, you can shop for popular upmarket and street brands such as Estee Lauder, Coach, Crabtree & Evelyn, Levi’s, Converse, PUMA, Lego, and Samsonite.

PARKSON PLAZA
There are several outlets of this international department store in HCMC but the main one is here. It stocks cosmetics and perfumes, fashion for men and women, and homeware and dining outlets. It’s a great place to shop for mid-range and upmarket products such as Coach, Calvin Klein, Shu Uemura, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Esprit, and Lacoste.

BEN THANN MARKET
The thriving market is the most famous in HCMC. If you want some proper local food head here. There are also coffee traders with various beans on display and stalls selling apparels, textiles, luggage, watches, handicrafts, and electronic goods.

CHOLON MARKET
Come here if you want to see the local Buddhist culture. There are several stores selling handicrafts, lacquer ware, textiles and fresh produce. Why not try some Vietnamese noodles, steamed buns and local sausages.

AN DUONG
Located out of the city this is an indoor market. Make sure you still bargain though! They stock apparel, textiles, shoes, handbags, and accessories on the first two floors while the top floor is dedicated to quality woodwork, lacquer ware, knitwear and trinkets made by skilled local artisans.

DAN SINH MARKET
This is the war memorabilia market so history boffins should head here. Be sure to haggle and take a proper look as things are not always genuine. However much of it is and you can find uniforms, jackets, combat boots to binoculars, gas masks, helmets, zippo lighters and identification tags.

RUSSIAN MARKET
If you don’t mind trawling your way through piles of clothes and have a couple of hours to spare, then head here for bargain. There is branded winter gear, luggage, shoes, and sportswear that cost a fraction of what they do on the high street. Make sure you barter too, just to get the best possible deal.
