Let’s party! With all the social distancing happening now, families, friends, and teams are looking to connect more in creative ways. Good news people, the Little Steps team has gathered up the best apps for hosting virtual parties and also provided 5 popular themes as well. Organize a dance-off, have a camp-out or sip wine at a virtual happy hour. This round-up is for all ages – enjoy!
Top Virtual Party Hosting Platforms:
Zoom – The free version allows up to 100 people and up to a 40-minute session
Skype – Up to 40 guests and 4 hours of calling
Facetime – Up to 32 devices can join!
Google Chat – Up to 10 people
House Party – Up to 8 people – easy and free
To schedule a virtual campfire, ask your friends to join a virtual campfire gathering when the sun goes down. Next, download on a different device the Winter Fireplace app which you can stream to your TV. Turn off all the lights, ask everyone to grab a candle and prepare 1 haunted ghost story to share with friends. You can also light a marshmallow (with a match) and prep smores from afar. Happy camping!

Download the House Party App, schedule a time to get together online (from your mobile or laptop), grab a bottle of wine, and chat it up with as many friends as you like! While there are other apps that do similar features, House Party is unique in that it is very easy to use - even grandma can get involved easily (no codes required!). If you are gathering with more than 8 people, Zoom might be a better option to connect.
